Seamless automotive security monitoring (ASM) in real time

Software-defined vehicles require effective security management. New international standards (UNECE R155, ISO/SAE 21434) are setting the pace, as they require cyber security to be guaranteed in all phases of development and throughout the entire life cycle. Automotive Security Monitoring (ASM, see image), developed by T-Systems, covers a central part of these requirements.

ASM is an innovative cloud application that enables real-time monitoring of vehicle data. The data originates from one or more intrusion detection systems (IDS) and is transmitted directly from the vehicle backend to ASM. Advanced stream analytics algorithms continuously analyse the data stream for possible attack patterns. The integration of databases for publicly known security vulnerabilities, the vehicle-specific digital twin and other backend systems ensures comprehensive monitoring.

Security incidents are displayed directly in a comprehensive security event dashboard with detailed analysis options, and users are informed immediately.
