Volkswagen Group Hubs and Call for Proposals for IZB 2026

The Volkswagen Group Hubs will be further expanded as a central platform for exchange as part of the International Supplier Fair (IZB) 2026. These hubs bring together experts from Technical Development and Procurement with exhibitors, facilitating direct technical dialogue on current industry topics.

Five thematic Volkswagen Group Hubs

Five hubs will be located in the exhibition halls at IZB 2026, each covering a clearly defined area of automotive value creation:

• Interior & Exterior – Hall 1
• Electronics & Connectivity – Hall 3
• Powertrain & Battery – Hall 4
• Metals, Car Body & Drive System – Hall 5
• General Procurement & AI – Hall 6

These hubs will serve as structured points of contact for discussions on specific issues, supporting the development of concrete solutions through direct dialogue.

Call for Proposals as a Structured Process

The IZB 2026 Call for Proposals has concluded, and the response has been clear: 365 solution proposals were submitted for the five Volkswagen Group Hubs. Compared with 2024, this represents an increase of 143 percent.

At the heart of the Call for Proposals are specific questions from the Volkswagen Group. Exhibitors and startups were invited to submit relevant products, technologies, and innovations.

The 365 submissions are currently being reviewed and evaluated by experts from the Volkswagen Group. The most compelling proposals for the five Hubs are now being selected.

The top solutions will be notified in mid-September. During IZB, taking place from October 27 to 29, the selected companies will meet directly with experts from Procurement and Technical Development. These exchanges may lead to concrete opportunities for further collaboration.

Outlook

The overarching theme of 'Powering Customer Driven Innovation' provides a framework for rapidly developing high-quality, collaborative solutions ready for the market.
