Volkswagen Group Hubs and Call for Proposals for IZB 2026

The Volkswagen Group Hubs will be further expanded as a central platform for exchange as part of the International Supplier Fair (IZB) 2026. These hubs bring together experts from Technical Development and Procurement with exhibitors, facilitating direct technical dialogue on current industry topics.

Five thematic Volkswagen Group Hubs

Five hubs will be located in the exhibition halls at IZB 2026, each covering a clearly defined area of automotive value creation:

• Interior & Exterior – Hall 1
• Electronics & Connectivity – Hall 3
• Powertrain & Battery – Hall 4
• Metal, Body & Drive System – Hall 5
• General Procurement & AI – Hall 6

These hubs will serve as structured points of contact for discussions on specific issues, supporting the development of concrete solutions through direct dialogue.

Call for Proposals as a Structured Process

In preparation for the Hubs, a Call for Proposals is conducted prior to the trade show. The aim is to systematically identify innovative solutions among the exhibitors and link them to the Volkswagen Group’s current challenges.

The process comprises the following steps:

1.    The Volkswagen Group Hubs define key questions from their respective subject areas.

2.    Based on these, exhibitors submit their proposed solutions via a standardised procedure.

3.    Volkswagen reviews and evaluates the submitted concepts.

4.    Selected exhibitors are invited to present their solutions in the Hubs during the IZB.

The Call for Proposals thus forms the basis for targeted, substantive exchanges during the trade fair. All exhibitors will shortly receive a separate email containing a link to submit their proposals.

The overarching theme of 'Powering Customer-Driven Innovation' provides a framework for rapidly developing high-quality, collaborative solutions ready for the market.
