Volkswagen Group Hubs@IZB

As an exhibitor or sponsor of the IZB 2024, you had the exclusive opportunity last year to enter into direct dialogue with high-ranking Volkswagen Group employees from the areas of procurement and technical development. Four so-called Volkswagen Group Hubs focusing on Interior & Exterior, Electronics & Connectivity, Powertrain & Battery and Metal, Body & Chassis served as a platform for intensive dialogue.

“As an OEM we focus on dialogue in line with the key topic of ‘Empowering Partnerships’. IZB exhibitors can submit their own solutions for the Volkswagen Group hubs on selected aspects relating to important transformation and innovation topics and discuss them on site with experts from the entire Volkswagen Group. Our aim is to strengthen the exchange on specific projects and highlight potential for partnerships", explains Dirk Große-Loheide, Member of the Extended Executive Committee responsible for “Group Procurement” at Volkswagen AG and Member of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Brand responsible for Procurement.

Connecting Area powered by Wolfsburg AG: The central meeting point at the IZB 2024

With the Connecting Area, the 12th International Suppliers Fair (IZB) in Wolfsburg offered visitors and exhibitors a central contact point in the middle of the trade fair. The 200 square metre area in Hall 4 offered numerous opportunities to make contacts, discuss forward-looking ideas and listen to the latest trends, insights and impulses on the IZB-Livestage.

The Connecting Area turned the IZB 2024 into a hub for innovation and collaboration.

The following highlights were part of the Connecting Area:

  • The IZB Livestage as a stage for innovations and solutions. Visionaries, experts and decision-makers came together on the IZB-Livestage to discuss the industry's most pressing issues and provide new impetus. Interested parties can find the programme here.
     
  • New ideas could be developed, networks expanded and inspiring discussions held at any time in the Innovation Lounge. Interested parties could also find out more about innovations from selected exhibitors and enjoy a freshly prepared coffee speciality at our coffee bar.
     
  • In a special exhibition area, visitors found the leitmotif of this year's IZB: the Volkswagen ID.2all. The future model of the ID family stands for the focal points of this year's IZB: Competitiveness, Sustainability, Acceleration.
