You can quickly and conveniently register online for our events. Registration is only available online and must be completed in advance! Registration is intended for journalistic coverage of the IZB. Please review our accreditation guidelines.
As the organizer, we aim to facilitate journalists’ access to information about the IZB through accreditation. Accreditation is granted exclusively for the purpose of media coverage.
Media accreditation is available to:
Individuals from Germany or abroad who can provide proof of their journalistic (including photojournalistic) or editorial work (related to the respective trade show topic) as follows:
a. by submitting bylined articles or reports (print, online, TV, radio) on the trade show topic that are no older than six months at the time of the event,
b. by submitting an imprint in which they are listed as editors, permanent editorial staff members, or authors, and which is no older than three months at the time of the event,
c. by submitting the original written assignment from a full-fledged editorial office related to the current trade show,
d. Content creators for a social media channel, podcast, blog, or vlog, or a streaming platform that is thematically related to the respective trade show, has been in existence for at least six months, and can demonstrate regular posts and an appropriate reach. Reach must be demonstrated through metrics such as page impressions, unique visitors, or time spent on the site. In these cases, advance accreditation is required due to the increased administrative burden involved in the review process. The person to be accredited must be verifiably associated with this medium via an online link, whether through a named mention in the legal notice or through posts bearing their name. The articles must be verifiably written personally and have a thematic connection to the trade show. A limited number of individuals will be accredited per channel or platform. In individual cases, the organizers may impose further restrictions.
e. by submitting proof, no more than six months old, that they work for school or college newspapers, or by presenting a valid ID from a youth press organization.
f. Holders of a valid, nationally recognized press card (https://www.presserat.de/presseausweis.html) or a press card issued by a foreign journalists’ association.
Presenting a press pass is generally not sufficient on its own to qualify for accreditation. The trade show organizer reserves the right to request additional documentation to verify journalistic activity in accordance with points a–f.
Documents must be submitted in German or English. The trade show organizer reserves the right to additionally require the presentation of a valid photo ID. There is no legal entitlement to accreditation. If necessary, the trade show organizer will exercise its right to manage the premises.
The following groups of people will not be accredited:
Individuals without journalistic credentials, such as customer service representatives, sales managers, advertising managers, webmasters, employees of corporate blogs or corporate websites, PR consultants, product testers, and private companions.
German citizens residing in Germany who present a foreign press pass.
Individuals who present a written assignment from a freelance journalist.
Individuals who are active on social media exclusively for personal reasons.
Individuals who wish to use trade shows solely for the purpose of acquiring clients for their own paid radio, TV, print, or online productions.
