On the occasion of the International Suppliers Fair (IZB), which will take place in the Allerpark in Wolfsburg from 14th to 16th October, changes will be made to the traffic routeing in the “Oebisfelder Strasse” (B188) road in the direction of the Allerpark. The Teichbreite/Allerpark junction in the direction of the BadeLand/EisArena will be closed to traffic from 12pm on Monday 13th October to 6pm on Thursday 16th October. Drivers will only be able to access the exhibition grounds and the leisure facilities in the Allerpark from the west of the city by using the first entrance in Oebisfelder Strasse. Drivers coming from the east, namely from Vorsfelde, must turn at the “Schlosskreuzung” junction in order to access the exhibition grounds and the leisure facilities in the Allerpark. Electronic displays will inform drivers about these changes to traffic routeing. Free shuttle buses will connect Wolfsburg Central Station, the Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg and the car park on the “Schützenplatz Vorsfelde” with the exhibition grounds.
Alongside the traffic routeing, changes have also been made to the parking facilities available during the IZB. We request that visitors to the trade fair use the signposted parking area by the Volkswagen Arena. A fee will be charged for use of these parking spaces. The visitor car park can be accessed via an exit lane leading from the “Berliner Brücke” bridge heading out of the city and under the Berliner Brücke in the direction of the Volkswagen Arena when coming from the Autostadt. Visitors to the leisure facilities in the Allerpark can use the car parks located directly next to these facilities.
Displays directing drivers to the entrances and parking areas for visitors to the trade fair and exhibitors will be in place from 1st October onwards. The dynamic displays located on the most important roads leading to the Allerpark will also be quickly updated to inform drivers about special circumstances such as traffic obstructions. Up to 55 helpers in and around the Allerpark and in the car parks will additionally help to maintain a good flow of traffic throughout the trade fair.
Shuttle Buses to the Exhibition Grounds
Free shuttle buses will make it easier for visitors to travel to the IZB on all three days of the event. These buses will run between Wolfsburg Central Station, the Volkswagen factory and the "Schützenplatz Vorsfelde" to the IZB exhibition grounds and back.
- The station shuttle bus will travel every quarter of an hour between 9:10am and 7:10pm.
- The Volkswagen shuttle will run between the Volkswagen factory and the exhibition grounds from 9:30am to 6:20pm.
-The shuttle bus travelling to and from the "Schützenplatz Vorsfelde" (by the “Meinstrasse” road) will run between 10:00am and 6:30pm. (The times specified refer to the first bus to the trade fair and the last bus from the trade fair.)
