Innovative validation solutions for BMS

The NovaCarts Battery HiL system (see image right) enables complete BMS testing of all lithium-based batteries and thus offers one of the most powerful cell simulations on the market. The safe operation of Li-ion batteries requires continuous monitoring of the cell voltage and temperature of the individual battery cells. This task is performed by cell module controllers (CMC). The NovaCarts CMC Simulator (see image bottom left) therefore represents an ideal extension: it enables the simulation of several of these modules and can be used both on the test bench and as a desktop application.

The NovaCarts Battery Cell Emulation Board (see image top left) is an IZB world premiere and completes the solution: it is the only board worldwide that simulates the condition of a battery at every stage - with μs resolution for electrical simulations that even enable electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) for control units.
