Full Display Mirror® - The Technology for Digital Vision

The Gentex Full Display Mirror (FDM®, see image) captures video from a rearview camera and streams it to a mirror-integrated LCD that provides an unobstructed, panoramic view behind the vehicle. It can operate as either a standard auto-dimming rearview mirror or as a rear video display.

Since its inception, Gentex has used the FDM as a strategic electronic module - a cross-platform location for introducing advanced electronic features into the vehicle. Over the years, we've integrated numerous functions in and around the mirror, including glare suppression, cameras, microphones, displays, transaction modules, car-to-home automation, safety and ADAS functions, and driver monitoring systems.
