finexus® – nonwovens for sustainable components

Sandler Group strengthens the presence of textile molded parts and presents finexus® (see image) – a nonwoven fabric developed for exterior and interior applications. With the patented material made from 100 % polyester fibers, the company offers a solution to raw material shortages and the avoidance of multi-material constructions. Sandler does not use glass, binders, or additional layers, and can manufacture self-supporting, acoustically effective molded parts only through the alignment of polyester fibers and the hot-molding process of the nonwoven fabric. The nonwoven fabric demonstrates excellent surface bonding, moldability, and stiffness, and can withstand the demanding climate change conditions inside vehicles. Already today, 80 % recycled fibers are incorporated, and offcuts are reused. This reduces the CO2 footprint and closes the raw material cycle.
