Automated surface inspection

Our system solution for the automated analysis of free-form surfaces includes a line scan camera equipped with special lighting technology and mounted on a 6-axis robot (see image). The surface structure to be inspected is captured and the detected defects are marked using an integrated marking tool. The modular design makes it possible to integrate further processing steps, such as grinding the defects. The mobile and compact design of the system results in space savings for the customer. A lower error rate of the automated detection increases the process stability. The main area of application is the automated detection of dust inclusions, scratches and other paint irritations on coated components of all kinds in pre- and post-processing.
