The next International Suppliers Fair (IZB) will welcome exhibitors and visitors to the German city of Wolfsburg from 14th to 16th October 2014. Next year’s IZB will be the first to take place between Tuesday and Thursday. In 2012, the specialist trade fair for the automotive supplier industry attracted a total of around 49,000 visitors.
The individuals responsible for the IZB at the company Wolfsburg AG have used the time that has passed since the last event in October 2012 to intensively work on evaluating the results of last year’s trade fair and to discuss the IZB with a multitude of exhibitors, visitors and representatives from the automotive supplier industry and related associations. This work has resulted in the decision to further develop the event whilst taking significant requests and suggestions made by its exhibitors into account. One of the main changes to be made to the next IZB is the fact that the trade fair will now take place between Tuesday and Thursday rather than in its previous slot of Wednesday to Friday.
The IZB 2012 Closed with Record Results
Next year, the International Suppliers Fair will take place in the German city of Wolfsburg for the eighth time. Ever since it was first held in 2001, this specialist trade fair has experienced impressive continuous growth. While the first event welcomed 128 exhibitors from six different countries and 13,500 visitors to an exhibition area covering 6000 square metres, the IZB 2012 enabled 49,000 trade visitors from all over the world to find out about the products and services of 776 exhibitors from 28 different nations. These exhibitors showcased their products and innovations in an exhibition area featuring seven halls and covering a total of 36,000 square metres in the exhibition grounds in the Allerpark in Wolfsburg.
The statements made when summarising the event clearly indicated its success: “In comparison to the IZB 2010, this year's event saw another significant increase in the quality of the products exhibited and the internationality of the exhibitors and visitors", concluded Thomas Krause, a Member of the Board of Wolfsburg AG, in his summary of the trade fair. “The fact that eight of the world’s ten highest-volume automotive supplier companies showcased their products and services here at the IZB is impressive evidence of the trade fair's importance for the automotive supplier industry”, added Stephan Böddeker, the IZB Project Manager, at the end of the event.The International Suppliers FairThe International Suppliers Fair has been providing suppliers from the automotive industry with a platform on which they can present a wide range of automotive innovations since 2001.
