The Ve-NET™ Multigigabit Differential Connector System (see image) by Amphenol Automotive is designed for an automotive environment that is able to transmit data at a rate of between 1,000 Mb/s and 10 Gb/s in accordance with IEEE 802.3bp 1000BASE-T1 and IEEE 802.3ch 10GBASE-T1. It also supports higher data rates of 25 G+ in accordance with IEEE 802.3cy (specification currently in preparation). This Ethernet connection system, which is suitable for vehicles, uses a shielded twisted pair (STP) / shielded parallel pair (SPP) cable for its data transmission. It was developed in compliance with USCAR-2 T2V1 & LV214 S1 and Ethernet specifications and is available in miniaturised and sealed configurations. All versions are fitted with CPA and CCPA and have been developed for use in a temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius to +105 degrees Celsius. Ve-NET™ is available in different variants and will be showcased at the Amphenol Germany GmbH stand at the IZB.
