SMART-ACTUATOR: Modular Actuator System for Automotive Drivetrain Applications

The SMART-ACTUATOR from MAGNET-SCHULTZ is a modular, configurable system for positioning and switching applications in the drivetrains of modern passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Applications include parking lock actuation, transmission control, thermal management valve actuation, and engine management functions. Depending on the gear configuration, the system provides torque of up to 6 Nm. Its modular housing design supports either bevel gear or self-locking worm gear stages. Mechanical and electrical overload protection supports robust and reliable operation. The output shaft can be configured as a solid or hollow shaft to meet application-specific requirements. A flexible connector concept allows different types and positions of electrical interfaces. The standard version is designed for rotary motion and can be extended for linear applications through additional modules.
