Mobile energy from the EV – automatically available as soon as a load is plugged in

The V2L interface "Power-Socket" (see image)) enables power extraction from the traction battery for external AC loads with an output power of up to 3.7 kW at 230 V and 16 A. Via integrated resistor coding, the system communicates the required power demand to the vehicle, which controls the primary power electronics and conversion. Automatic load detection activates power delivery upon contact closure without additional switching elements and signals active operation via an integrated LED indicator. Thanks to the reduced component complexity, the compact device forms a mechanically and electrically robust interface between the vehicle and the external load. An integrated thermal switch ensures overtemperature protection via automatic disconnection. The system is designed for an operating temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius to +80 degrees Celsius.
