Green Speakers with KCS in Pioneer’s Integrated Sound Platform

Pioneer presents its scalable Integrated Sound Platform (ISP) in the Volvo XC90 (see image) for different vehicle segments, trim levels and listening configurations. A key innovation is its Green Speakers: lightweight, compact loudspeakers whose hardware is specifically designed for Klippel Controlled Sound (KCS), an adaptive loudspeaker control technology. This extends the usable frequency and performance range while reducing weight, installation space and bill of materials. Applications include low-frequency reproduction down to 35 Hz without a separate subwoofer or large woofers, ANC/RNC without dedicated low-frequency transducers, compact low-frequency headrest modules, and new approaches to sound zoning. Visitors can experience front-seat and all-seat tuning, systems with and without a subwoofer, headrest audio, Dolby Atmos, and set-ups ranging from 10 to 26 speakers.
