Dimmable Sun Visors – Smart Glare Protection for Enhanced Comfort and Safety

Gentex’s dimmable sun visors (see image) offer an innovative alternative to conventional sun visors. Using proven electrochromic technology, they specifically reduce distracting glare from the low-angle sun or reflections without restricting the driver’s field of view. The adaptive, multi-stage dimming system can be flexibly adjusted to varying light conditions, thereby improving visibility, comfort, and driving safety. At the touch of a button, the sun visor can also be switched to a full-surface vanity mirror, offering additional value to vehicle occupants. Thanks to its slim design, the technology complements modern vehicle designs and can be seamlessly integrated into both existing and future vehicle platforms.
