Borderless premium design meets circular economy – automated and selectively removable

With Narrow Seal Automation, tesa SE is developing an automated adhesive solution for the assembly of vehicle displays together with AUMOVIO. A robot-applied 2 mm adhesive tape provides immediate handling strength without curing time and can be integrated into existing production lines. With “Debonding on Demand”, the bond can be selectively released, supporting rework and repair as well as material separation at the end of the product life cycle. The solution enables narrow adhesive borders and near-borderless display designs. It can also help reduce scrap and the effort required for rework and repair. Series production readiness is planned for Q4 2026.
