Advanced Power Distribution Architecture

Future vehicle architectures require increasing levels of electrical power. However, larger cable cross-sections significantly increase vehicle weight, cost, and integration complexity. Energy Backbone^® PLUS (EB+) from One Mobility addresses this challenge through zonal power distribution using intelligent E-Fuse modules and a rigid power distribution backbone. This significantly reduces the total cable length within the vehicle. At the same time, lightweight aluminum busbars replace heavy copper wiring, reducing both weight and material usage. The innovation lies in the direct, tool-free plug-in connection of the E-Fuse modules to the EB+. This plug-and-play interface eliminates time-consuming bolting processes and enables highly automated robotic assembly, resulting in significantly reduced manufacturing effort and production costs.
