Exhibition halls & exhibition areas
- 6 halls with a total area of around 38,000 square metres
- Largest hall ever built for an IZB (Hall 3): 7,525 square metres of space, ridge height of 12 metres
- 400 square metres of outdoor exhibition space between Halls 4 & 5
Personnel - Security & Traffic
- 215 people ensure security at and around the IZB, from admission control to traffic control and night watch.
Sustainability
- Hall lighting is provided exclusively with LED lamps
- over 50 per cent of the floor coverings (approx. 20,000 square metres) are recycled and returned to the cycle in the form of granulate
- Almost half of the exhibition stands and all public areas (entrances, information counters, meeting rooms) consist of so-called system exhibition stand construction, i.e. the stand construction materials can be reused to a high degree
Who is exhibiting?
- Around 830 exhibitors from 33 nations
- More than 40 per cent exhibitors from abroad (‘largest’ nations: Italy - 59, Spain - 39, Turkey - 35, South Korea - 32)
- Almost 60 per cent German exhibitors from all federal states (federal states with the most exhibitors: North Rhine-Westphalia - 139, Baden-Württemberg - 82, Bavaria - 81, Lower Saxony - 61 (including 17 from Wolfsburg)
- Volkswagen Group exhibits at four Volkswagen Group Hubs - on the topics: Hall 1: ‘Interior & Exterior’, Hall 3: ‘Electronics & Connectivity’, Hall 5: ‘Powertrain & Battery’, Hall 6: ‘Metal, Body & Chassis’
