Event Ticket details
Validity: The Event Ticket is valid on all long-distance trains operated by DB AG (ICE, EC/IC trains). It also allows holders to use local trains (RE, RB, IRE and S-Bahn trains) to reach the (central) station and complete their journey to their destination.
City Ticket: Included on journeys of more than 100 kilometres and in more than 120 towns and cities (information on the City Ticket and when it can be used on public transport can be found at bahn.com/en/offers/tickets-for-local-transport).
Seat reservation: Included in first class for timetable-based bookings, i.e. when you book a concrete train connection.
Exchange and cancellation: Tickets can be exchanged or cancelled up to or on the first day of validity for a fee of 19 Euros. The day of validity is printed on your ticket.
