Wolfsburg, 10th February 2012 – Between 10th and 12th October 2012, exhibitors and trade visitors from all over the world will be gathering at the International Suppliers Fair (IZB), Europe’s leading trade fair for the automotive industry. The current number of registrations shows just how well the IZB has established itself in this industry, with the entire exhibition area of around 35,000 square metres already fully booked eight months before the start of the event. “The huge interest shown in the IZB by exhibitors from Germany and abroad underlines the importance of the city of Wolfsburg as both an automotive location and a trade fair venue”, explains Julius von Ingelheim, the Spokesman of the Board of Wolfsburg AG, the company organising the event. Exhibitors from 22 different nations, including this year’s partner countries, Argentina and Brazil, will be represented at the IZB 2012.
The exhibitors at the 7th IZB yet again include the leading companies in the automotive industry, for example Continental, Denso, Delphi and Yazaki. At this year’s event, nearly one quarter of the exhibitors will be coming to Wolfsburg from countries outside of Germany.
The majority of registrations have come from exhibitors offering products and services focusing on the topics of plastics | passenger compartment | chemical products, electrics | electronics | mechatronics | drive control | assemblies and | chassis.
The IZB 2012 will also be accompanied by a wide-ranging programme of additional events, the first of which is the International Automotive Congress on 9th October, an event focusing on the trade fair's partner countries Argentina and Brazil. These countries will also form the focus of a series of events being held in cooperation with the AutoUni in the run-up to the IZB. Another accompanying event is the IZB Job Fair, which will take place on 11th October and offer students and recent graduates the opportunity to establish direct contact with a variety of companies.
The International Suppliers Fair in Wolfsburg has been hosted by Wolfsburg AG since 2001.
