Wolfsburg, February 5, 2018 The 10th International Supplier Fair (IZB) organized by Wolfsburg AG will take place in Wolfsburg from October 16 to 18, 2018. The IZB-Congress, launched in 2008, will kick-off the international industry meeting, the day before the IZB fair will start. On October 15, 2018, top-level speakers and participants will discuss automotive industry trends at the wellreputed event, focusing on ‘Digital Car Revolution‘. For the first time, Wolfsburg AG is partnering with the Institut für Produktionsmanagement (IPM AG) from Hanover, which will
be hosting the IZB-Congress, in the future.

Strong Partnership

The IZB is one of the largest trade fairs for automotive suppliers. It is focusing on the latest industry trends and, above all, encourages the exchange of ideas. "The same applies to the IZB-Congress. We gained a competent partner for the organization of the congress with the engagement of the IPM AG. We enhance the strategic course of the trade fair with this alliance. This year, the IZB fair will focus on 'Think Digital'", says Stephan Böddeker, Head of MobilityBusiness at Wolfsburg AG, when signing the contract with the IPM AG.

Prof. Dr. Johannes Walther, Chairman of the Executive Board at IPM AG, welcomes the partnership as well: "I am looking forward to carry out the project and to the long-term cooperation with the Wolfsburg AG.“ The Institute for Production Management has been organizing industry conferences for over 15 years, for example, in cooperation with Airbus, Deutsche Bahn, Siemens and Volkswagen. It is also active in qualification and innovation scouting (see www.ipm.ag).

This year's IZB-Congress will take place on October 15, 2018 and will focus on the key topic "Digital Car Revolution", spotlighting unstoppable e-mobility, digitalization and fully autonomous driving. Taking the leading role in shaping these developments is the challenge for automotive manufacturers and their suppliers nowadays. The speakers will draw a picture of the automotive future. The participants of the congress will learn about the practice related innovations that will provide them with know-how for their daily work.
