Not long from now, construction work will begin on the IZB pavilions at the heart of the Allerpark in Wolfsburg. The IZB exhibition grounds cover an area of around 40,000m2 and offer space for a total of more than 800 exhibitors who have currently signed up to participate in the event. This year, exhibitors from 36 different countries will showcase their products and services at the trade fair – representing more countries than ever before.
Plenty of scope for the driving forces behind innovation in the industry
The key topics of the IZB 2022 are: Autonomous Driving, Connectivity, Cyber Security, Electrification, E-mobility, Production 4.0 and Software. The rapid transformation of the automotive industry is also reflected in the grounds of the IZB, for example its areas dedicated to the topics of Electrics, Electronics and Mobile Services and its hall for Plastics and Chemical Products. As per usual, the event will also shine the spotlight on topics such as Metal, Power Trains and comprehensive Production Services.
The Software Marketplace has been allocated a prominent position in Hall 1. Inspired by the latest office concepts, the marketplace is a multi-zonal coworking space for software exhibitors. An IZB live stage will provide a platform for presentations, trend talks, pitches and keynote speeches on the latest issues in the key topics of the event. What’s more, a digital broadcast will increase coverage of the trade fair and enable all interested parties to participate in its top-quality programme of talks and presentations.
An in-person trade fair and more
The IZB offers exhibitors and visitors a multitude of contact opportunities both in the exhibition grounds and in and around Wolfsburg city centre. The first of these opportunities is a congress featuring specialist talks that will kick off the IZB the day before the trade fair opens its doors. This will be followed by the IZB Opening Event, which will welcome a wide range of guests including Volkswagen representatives, key players from the worlds of politics and business, exhibitors and fascinating keynote speakers. On top of all this, a variety of events and gatherings will be held in the business area of the Ritz Carlton Hotel and at Wolfsburg Art Museum. Last but not least, the traditional IZB Job Fair will again take place on the third day of the trade fair and give companies the opportunity to advertise their vacant positions on the Job Wall.
Wolfsburg as a perfect location for a leading trade fair
With #WolfsburgDigital, digital test environments with connections to the local region and the role of a “Smart City” model city, Wolfsburg and the surrounding region are outstanding real-world laboratories for the mobility of the future. Further proof of this can be found in the fact that several major engineering service providers in the automotive industry have located to the area in recent years. These companies are now benefiting from the wide range of links and contacts and a corresponding infrastructure for all future-oriented transformation processes that the area has to offer.
