The International Suppliers Fair 2012

Wolfsburg, Germany, 30th June 2011. From 10th - 12th October 2012, the global automotive supplier industry will again demonstrate its technological expertise, innovative strength and competitiveness at the International Suppliers Fair (IZB) in the German city of Wolfsburg. When the trade fair opens its doors to expert visitors from Germany and abroad, the exhibitors from Argentina and Brazil in particular will be at the forefront of the event. These two countries will represent the emergent South American automotive market and showcase themselves as the partner countries of the 7th IZB. The automotive industry sets the pace in Germany. It therefore has increasing requirements with regard to the quality and innovation of its products, resulting in a challenging situation for the supplier industry in particular. As a renowned meeting place for the automotive industry, the IZB 2012 promises to provide an overview of the latest trends and developments”, explains Julius von Ingelheim, Spokesman of the Board of Wolfsburg AG, the company that has been organising the IZB since 2001.

This year, Europe’s leading trade fair for the supplier industry will again be held under the patronage of David McAllister, Prime Minister of the German Federal State of Lower Saxony, Prof. Rolf Schnellecke, Mayor of the City of Wolfsburg, and Dr Francisco J. Garcia Sanz, Member of the Board of Volkswagen AG.
The traditionally extensive accompanying programme of events will also take place throughout the duration of the IZB, featuring a multitude of specialist congresses, workshops, presentations and networking events. The partner countries will, of course, also form the focus of this programme. “After shining the spotlight on the USA and Canada in 2010, we are delighted to welcome Argentina and Brazil, the largest South American producers of passenger cars, commercial vehicles and components, to the IZB 2012 as our guests", added Julius von Ingelheim.

The International Suppliers Fair
The International Suppliers Fair (IZB) has been providing suppliers from the automotive industry with a platform on which they can present a wide range of automotive innovations since 2001. In 2010, the IZB featured 729 exhibitors from 24 different countries and welcomed 48,000 expert visitors. The trade fair takes place every two years in the German city of Wolfsburg.
