The new hall layout for the IZB 2018

The booking phase for the exhibition area available at the tenth International Suppliers Fair (IZB), which will take place from 16th to 18th October 2018, has broken a new record this year. Within just a few weeks, we received an extremely wide variety of different area requests for the total of nearly 40,000 square metres available at the Allerpark in Wolfsburg. The special topic of the IZB 2018, “Think Digital”, has attracted a large number of exhibitors to the event.

In response to this, we decided to change the structure and layout of the halls at the event venue and to further optimise them in order to make more effective use of the area available. Our aim was to be able to positively respond to as many exhibition area requests as possible while still achieving the best possible locations for the companies exhibiting at the event in terms of their focus areas.

  • At previous IZB events, Halls 1 and 2 have been joined together to form one large connected hall area.
  • These two halls will be separated at the IZB 2018. Hall 1 will be home to the companies focusing on this year’s main topic,“Think Digital”, together with our sponsors and partners.
  • The former Hall 3 will become Hall 2 and present the fields of “Electrics, Electronics and Mechatronics”.
  • The hall previously known as Hall 4 will be given a new structure and divided up into two halls: Hall 3 focusing on the fields of “IT and Services, Logistics, Production and Development” and Hall 4, which will be home to the cluster stands and the national stands of specific countries.
  • Halls 5 to 7 will be dedicated to the same fields as in previous years, namely:
  • “Assemblies, Drive Control, Gears and Chassis” in Hall 5,
  • “Vehicle Interiors / Modules (non-electric), Plastics and Chemical Products” in Hall 6
  • and “Metal and Lightweight Construction and Car Body Manufacturing” in Hall 7.
