Under the name Blue e+,the company Rittal is presenting a new generation of cooling devices for control cabinet technology at the IZB 2016. A multitude of testing processes conducted with the new devices at well-known automotive manufacturers have revealed energy savings at an average of 75 percent. In its new generation of cooling devices, the exhibitor has relied on a hybrid process for the first time in the form of a combination of a compressor cooling device and a heat pipe. Inverter technology enables the devices to provide the precise cooling power required in the cabinet in question. The fact that the devices can operate under different voltages enables them to be flexibly used in all standard networks all over the world. A real-time data transfer additionally facilitates protocols such as CAN Bus or Modbus TCP. Rittal's new cooling devices support Industry 4.0 scenarios, for example by enabling device parameters to be transferred into superior (cloud) systems in the future. The Blue e+ devices therefore provide users with new possibilities such as asset management, condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
