NIDEC GPM works to develop solutions that use innovative products to meet demands for modern heat management. The main focus of its development activities is placed on the production of variable mechanical coolant pumps and electrically driven coolant pumps. Both technologies enable flow on demand and thus help to reduce the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of vehicles. The exhibitor's electric main water pump (see image) acts as a platform that fulfils a wide variety of demands in order to meet customer requests to the best possible extent. One of its main features is the fact that it not only supports the common 12V electrical system, but also the 48V system, which will be used on a wide scale in the future. The 48V electrical system enables electrical water pumps to be presented in power ranges that can currently only be covered by mechanical pumps.
