The Italian industrial corporation SAPA was founded by Angelo Affinita and has been focusing on the production of injection-moulded parts for the automotive industry since 1975. It supplies its goods directly to major manufacturers both in Italy and abroad, for example FCA, Volkswagen, CNH, Porsche and Ferrari. The extraordinary human, technical and entrepreneurial abilities of the company founder have helped to transform what was once a craftsman’s business into an economically strong and constantly growing corporation with six factories in Italy and Europe, more than 1000 employees and annual sales of 180 million Euros.
SAPA now focuses on two main product lines, engine compartments and vehicle interiors, in which it offers a multitude of patented solutions and products. In 2017, for example, the company was presented with the Innovation Award of the SPE Automotive TPO Conference in Detroit for its remarkable patent that is completely “Made in Italy”. The company’s overall number of patented processes is constantly growing, year after year. The most recent and, indeed, outstanding example of such processes is the One-Shot process, which enables complex components to be manufactured in one single production area and using only one machine, thus resulting in significant savings in terms of costs, time and environmental impact. In a nutshell, SAPA offers superior parts for superior cars.
