The next International Suppliers Fair (IZB), which will take place from 18th to 20th October 2016, will focus on a special topic for the first time: Mobility Goes Digital.
Keywords such as Industry 4.0, transformation and digitalisation are currently on everyone's lips in the industrial world, while customers are also keeping an eye on other significant development trends. Nowadays, drivers don't just want to travel from A to B in a safe, fast, comfortable and uncomplicated manner, but also want to be able to be constantly provided with extremely precise and comprehensive information during their journey, as well as making efficient use of longer drives. Solutions such as driver assistance systems, vehicle networking, smartphone and tablet PC integration and the permanent cloud solution all offer drivers a variety of fascinating applications.
As a result, the supplier industry in particular is now facing major challenges and radical changes. After all, digital media and the Internet offer extensive opportunities and considerable optimisation options for production processes and the entire range of business activities of supplier companies. Companies also need to offer customers extraordinary service in order to maintain a successful market position.
All of these demands and requirements have led the organisers of the IZB at the company Wolfsburg AG to place a special focus on this topic at the next trade fair. “The special topic of 'Mobility Goes Digital' will be a central theme running through the entire IZB 2016", explains the IZB Project Manager Stephan Böddeker. "It will above all play a prominent role at our International Automotive Congress, which is held on the day before the trade fair starts, and the special exhibition integrated into the IZB." Against this background, Böddeker goes on to explain that both the presentations given by speakers and the best practice examples will intensively and comprehensively explore this highly topical subject. At the special exhibition at the IZB, selected exhibitors will present their new solutions for the digitalisation of mobility. The IZB Innovations Report will also showcase a number of outstanding exhibits dedicated to the topic of digitalisation.
